Room visitors and moderators each have some settings to customize their chat experience.
If you want to hide someone’s messages from your chat window, you can hide them. This is separate from the moderator feature to ban a room member. Hiding only effects the visibility of someone’s messages for you.
If you close the chat window, Playback will show you chat notification banners in the room so you can still read new messages. You can turn these off for yourself.
As a room moderator, you can disable links and media embeds from appearing inline with chat messages.
As a room moderator, you can turn on slow mode if that chat is moving too fast and you want to calm things down.
As a room moderator, you can ban unruly room members. Their messages will disappear for everyone and they will lose their room membership and ability to interact with other members in the room.
From the roles and permissions settings in your room, you can review who has been banned and reverse bans.
